Sayville Downtown Center opened in 2006 and Downtown Riverhead offers the culinary arts and hospitality programs. The Pathways to Success Program links Suffolk with Cornell University.

To be eligible for enrollment, students must have high school transcripts or proof of high school equivalency. Exams such as the GED, HISET, or TASC are usually used to document high school equivalency. Prospective students should submit ACT or SAT scores along with International Baccalaureate exam results, or Advanced Placement test scores. Otherwise a placement test will be used to determine appropriate English and Mathematics courses. The nursing program ranks among the largest of the two year programs in the country for the RN credentials. Entrance into the nursing program requires a score on the ATI TEAS exam. Graduates from the program will apply to be candidates for the NCLEX licensure examination.
