What is Keiser University known for?

Keiser University is a private university that is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The main campus is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Eighteen other campuses are also located in Florida. One campus is located in San Marcos, Carazo Nicaragua and one in Shanghai, China.

Many of the campuses in Florida offer the Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Prerequisites for major courses in the program are a GPA of 2.5 or better in all previous college courses, and a passing score on the FTCE General Knowledge Exam. Additionally, in order to successfully complete the program, students must also pass the FTCE Subject Area Tests and the Professional Education Test.

The Associate Degree Nursing program is offered at many of the campuses in Florida. However, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing is only offered at the Flagship Residential Campus, Fort Meyer, Port St. Lucie, and Sarasota. To enter the pre-nursing courses, a score of 20 or above is necessary on the Wonderlic SLE entrance exam. Students who already have a bachelor’s degree or higher, do not need to submit Wonderlic scores. Acceptance into the nursing courses, requires a composite score of 60 or higher on the TEAS exam. Students who are admitted to Keiser University typically have a high school GPA of at least 2.0 and either an ACT score of 18 or higher or an SAT score of at least 860.
