22,437 students are enrolled in this private Roman Catholic university.  Chicago, Illinois is home to both of DePaul University’s campuses: the Park Campus, which includes facilities for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the College of Science and Health, and the College of Education; and the Loop campus, which includes the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.  The Higher Learning Commission oversees the school’s accreditation

The university has a test-optional policy which allows students to decide, with the help of admission counselors, whether or not they wish to submit ACT and SAT scores for consideration as part of their application.  High school GPA for admitted freshman is, on average, 3.6.  In addition, matriculating freshmen and transfer students are required to take online placement assessments in math and writing; a chemistry test is required for students wishing to pursue fields requiring General Chemistry; foreign language placement tests are optional.  For international students, the university offers the TOEFL proficiency exam through its English Language Academy (ELA); however, scores from the IELTS Academic and PTE academic exams are also accepted.

Among its many programs, DePaul University offers students with an interest in nursing the opportunity to earn a combined BS in Health Sciences and an MS in Nursing.  Students with an RN can obtain an MS or DNP.  The University also has a College of Education which offers BS and BA degrees in a number of specializations, including Special Education and World Language Education.  Students pursuing a BA must fulfill a modern language requirement.  For admission to one of the university’s many graduate programs, GMAT or GRE scores may be required.
