CSN, or the College of Southern Nevada, is a community college within the Nevada System of Higher Education. Although it is a community college, it is considered a 4-year college because it offers bachelor degrees in seven programs. CSN has 3 campuses and 8 learning centers. The 3 campuses in the Las Vegas Valley are the Henderson Campus, the Charleston Campus, and the North Las Vegas Campus. The learning centers are Nellis Air Force Base, Moapa Valley, Las Vegas City Hall, Summerlin, Mesquite, Sahara West, Green Valley, and Western. The staff includes 2,500 faculty and non-teaching staff.

Approximately 280 different degree or certificate programs are offered. Undergraduate degree programs are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. In 2017-2018, 3,597 students were awarded a degree or certificate.

Enrollment is approximately 34,000. About 74% of the students are enrolled part time and the remaining 26% full time. Average class size is about 20. Of all public higher education institutions in Nevada, it is the largest.
