Our PERT math practice test will help you identify your weak areas — math concepts you’ve either forgotten or never learned. Unlike other programs, however, you can then take advantage or our video instruction and practice sessions targeting these specific areas. Instead of leaving you out in the cold to figure everything out yourself, we do the complete opposite by building a teacher inside of each lesson. The difference is night and day when compared to any other solution you’ll find. Once you’re confident that you have it all down, you can go through the PERT math practice test again, and we will generate different questions to make certain you’re ready to pass the PERT test!
“Perfect for PERT test prep! It has lots of practice questions, challenges, and it will work it out for you step by step if you get a quiz test question wrong. Super well organized, and when the math teachers demonstrate on the whiteboard it is right to the point, without distractions…great for people with short attention spans, as you can pick up where you left off. Also, there are about 50 college level standardized math tests you can practice on right here, including the PERT test prep that I need. It’s way better than using a book because of the teachers and practice tests. It is like having your own tutor, but a lot less maintenance. The best site for math that I have found so far!”

Practice is imperative if you’re taking the PERT math test. Learning how to do something then repeating the process a number of times is the best way to cement the concept in your mind. MathHelp’s educational model is structured specifically in this way to help prepare you for the real thing come test day.

The Postsecondary Education Readiness Test is a customized placement test built for the state of Florida, for use by high school students and Florida College System institutions to determine a student’s readiness for college level math coursework. The PERT math test is a computer-adaptive exam. This means the difficulty of the questions changes based on the answers students give. When a question is answered correctly the next question is harder. Get one wrong and the level of difficulty goes back down. Your score is partially based on the highest difficulty level you achieve. Practicing for the PERT is key because students are given only two chances to take the test.
The concepts covered on the PERT math test include:
Whole Numbers
Integers
Fractions
Decimals
Ratio and Proportion
Probability and Statistics
Expressions, Equations, and Word Problems
Inequalities and Functions
Linear Equations
Systems of Equations
Exponents and Polynomials
Factoring
Rational Expressions and Equations
Radicals
Angles and Triangles
Perimeter, Circumference, and Area
Coordinate Geometry
The minimum score required to pass the Math Skills portion of the test is 114. Scoring below this threshold means that you will be required to take remedial math classes to catch you up to where you should be. These classes cost money but don’t offer any college credit in return, which increases the overall cost of your education and, in extreme cases, can become an insurmountable stumbling block and keep you from ever receiving your degree. (The Center for American Progress has found that students taking remedial courses have lower degree completion rates than students found to be at or above level when entering college.) Clearly, a great deal is at stake when you sit for the PERT math test, so practicing beforehand in order to improve your score is critical.
