I used the program for the NYSTCE test. I really like the set up. The lessons and practice problems then quizzes. I passed the exam!!Jessica Roach - June 2024
The NYSTCE CST, or Content Specialty Test, Multi-Subject: Teachers of Middle Childhood (Grade 5 – Grade 9) exam is a three-part test assessing content from the subjects of literacy and English language arts (231), mathematics (232), and arts and sciences (245). Each part is administered separately and is a computer delivered exam with multiple-choice questions and an open-response question which requires a longer, written answer.
There are 4 different grade level certifications for the Multi-Subject Content Specialty. The exams for Part 1 (literacy and English language arts) and Part 2 (mathematics) are different tests for the various grade level certification areas. However, Part Three, the arts and sciences test, is the same for certification at all 4 different grade levels. Therefore, if you are seeking certification at more than one grade level area, you will have to take Parts 1 and 2 for each grade level, but you will only need to take Part 3 once.
The time limit is different for each of the tests. And, a scientific calculator will be available on-screen during the mathematics test.
