With such a varied array of places and programs, admission requirements are equally broad.  However, the main Stillwater campus offers assured admission to those who have a 3.0 GPA or better in 15-unit core and have a score of at least 21 on the ACT/1060 on the SAT, or to those who score at least 24 on the ACT/1160 on the SAT.  However, most students are required to use the ALEKS program to assess their level of knowledge before they can enroll in a math class.  For programs taken through the Oklahoma City campus, students generally take the Accuplacer for appropriate designation of writing, reading, and math courses. 

The university’s roots as an Agricultural and Mechanical College are still at the heart of its many undergraduate and graduate offerings.  In addition to the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the university includes (among others) the College of Education, Health, and Aviation; the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology; and the Spears School of Business.
