Students who wish to apply to the college should submit an application and provide an official high school transcript or a GED transcript of high school equivalency.  Students who do not have either of these will be given an Ability to Benefit exam.  Additionally, the college uses the ACT enhanced version, and the ACCUPLACER test placement in English, Reading, and Mathematics courses.  SAT courses may also be submitted.  The testing center administers the ACT National Career Readiness Certificate testing which consists of three Workkeys exams for students who wish to demonstrate foundational job skills.

A variety of academic disciplines are available for study at the college many leading to transfer degrees.  Alternatively, students may choose a technical field.  Some technical courses offered at the college include electronics, cosmetology, and health related fields.  The Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing program prepares students to take the National Council Licensure Exam (NCLEX-RN) and become registered nurses.  There is also a one-year program resulting in a certificate and eligibility to take the NCLEX-PN and become a Licensed Practical Nurse.  The Early Childhood Education Technology program results in a Career Certificate, a Technical Certificate, or an Associate of Applied Science degree.  The coursework within this program satisfies the requirements set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
