Thank you so much for your lessons! I came into this having forgotten pretty much everything about math except the basics and I left confidently taking the TSI and passing with no trouble at all! I started using MathHelp because I was going to take a placement test to go back to College. The test went really well. My score on Quantitative Reasoning, Algebra, and Statistics was 274 which is very good for the Next-Gen Accuplacer test. The lady at the College said it was the best score she had seen in a while. I have nothing but to thank MathHelp for the review and the very well structured and easy to follow classes, it really helped me. I'm starting College Algebra this upcoming Spring Semester and will definitely come back to MathHelp in case I need some outside help.

I did well on the TSIA2 and am thankful for your course. I found the instruction and pace to be very helpful. The amount of practice questions provided for each topic was perfect and I liked how I could pause the quizzes to review the material a little more if I felt unsure. Thank you SO MUCH! I PASSED THE TSI WITH FLYING COLORS and I wouldn't have walked in there with the confidence had it not been for your awesome program! I really feel like how you explained it made it click for me. I was able to comprehend the material and feel like that is due in large to the direct, repetitive nature of the course. It's organized very well. The fact that there's audio for every practice problem is VERY helpful. It's one thing to have a video teaching a concept, but to have you explaining the work and reinforcing the concepts as I'm practicing on my own really helped more than just having the answer given without explanation.

The TSIA2 course I took was a tremendous help. I went into the course knowing very little about math other than middle school level basics. I took math when I was in high school but I never understood what was going on and I had just barley scrapped by. What is Houston Community College known for?

The Houston Community College System operates eight colleges within the city as well as in the communities of Missouri City, Katy, and Stafford, Texas. Some of the colleges have multiple campuses. Central College has two campuses. Central Campus in the middle of the city and South Campus in the Central Southwest area. The Coleman College of Health Sciences is located in the medical center district. Northeast College has three campuses. Caldwell Hall and Pinemont Campuses plus the Northline campus which houses an Early College High School. Northwest College has three campuses plus the Alief Continuing Education Center. The Alief Campus also contains an Early College High School. One campus is in Katy and another in Spring Branch. Southeast College has the Eastside Campus plus the Felix Fraga Academic Campus. Some facilities within the Southwest College are the Brays Oaks Campus, and the Missouri City Campus. Two other campuses within that college are the Stafford Campus and the West Loop Campus. Approximately 69,293 students attend various programs within the community college system which is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.

Admission is granted to anyone who has a diploma from an accredited high school, holds a high school equivalency diploma or GED, has earned college credits, or is a high school student qualifying to take certain college level courses. Some programs will require additional admissions criteria. The college administers the TSI Assessment in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics as a placement instrument. This test can be taken in the testing center in addition to the Accuplacer ESL and the TOEFL exams. Students with certain scores on the TSIA test may be required to take developmental courses. International students do not have to show proficiency with English. The testing center proctors the TABE test for basic work skills and the GED exam for students who wish to earn high school credentials. The GRE exam is provided for members of the community who are planning on entering graduate school and the Texas Educator Certification tests such as the TExES subject area exams are available.

The college system offers a variety of programs for the multicultural communities of the city. At the College of Health Sciences, programs such as Dental and Medical Assisting, and Health Information Technology. One popular program at this college the Nursing Program which offers an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing degree as well as vocational nursing programs and programs that step from the vocational nursing credential to the registered nursing credential. Entry into the Associate Degree Nursing program requires a minimum GPA of 3.0 for prerequisite courses along with a minimum score of 80% for each of 4 subject area sections of the HESI A2 exam. The college system offers the Associate of Arts in Teaching program consists of courses intended for transfer into bachelor’s degree courses and ultimately teacher certification.
